Throughout her career as a dentist, Dr. Blankenship has never grown tired of helping people bring out the best that their smiles have to offer, and she was drawn to the field because of dentistry’s unique combination of art, science and biology.
Dr. Blankenship earned degrees in biology and philosophy at Hunter College and earned her DDS at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She served her general practice residency at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Hospital with an emphasis on oral surgery and periodontics. She also served rotations at the MD Anderson Cancer Center and gained experience in meeting the needs of medically compromised patients.
Dr. Blankenship pursues continuing education on a regular basis, especially in the areas of implant dentistry, oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry. She has also studied with Nobel Biocare and the prestigious Pikos Institute. Her commitment to expanding her knowledge base translates into a higher standard of care for each of her patients.
When she is not enhancing smiles, Dr. Blankenship makes quality time with her husband and family a priority. That family includes a Corgi named Ellie and a Chihuahua named Biscuits, both of whom she loves very much. She also enjoys being a culinary explorer and never passes up the opportunity to try new restaurants, cuisines and recipes.
